The African environmentalist Baba Dioum said, “In the end, we will only conserve what we love. We will only love what we understand. We will only understand what we are taught.” The WKRC has begun an education initiative in conjunction with OCTC to help the members of our community learn more about the raptor species that are indigenous to this area. Headed by Professor Micah Perkins, the education program works with local area schools and other organizations as an outreach program and education supplement for teachers.
